Wiki Syntax

The contents of this article pertain mainly to those using the Code Editor to edit wiki pages / codex content. However, this same syntax will be interpreted by the WYSIWYG editor as well, in most cases.

Commenting

Comments can be done by providing a ~hc~ ~/hc~ pair in your wiki syntax. The code will generate an html comment in the form of <!-- this is a comment -->, viewable in the page source view.

Power Tip
If you have Use HTML tags checked on the properties tab, you can just use regular HTML comment syntax.

Tables

There are numerous ways to achieve a functional table in TikiWiki. Here’s a few quick examples for reference:

Pipe-character syntax

Use the following syntax
||a1|b1|c1
a2|b2|c2||
to achieve the following result:
a1b1c1
a2b2c2

FancyTable Plugin

Using the {FANCYTABLE()} plugin, you can display results in a nicer-looking table with sorting options.

Power Tip
Check out TikiWiki Documentation for more specifics about this plugin.
